Overview

About this course

This four-year degree offers an alternative route into higher education for prospective students who may not have a sufficient or relevant academic background for university study. During the integrated Foundation Year in Computing, you'll undertake modules to develop your academic skills and confidence, and study the principles of coding — learning to build simple apps — as well as web development, producing code for a website, and exploring social media integration, data capture and cyber security.

Following the Foundation Year, you'll progress to Level 4 of the BSc (Hons) Computer Science degree, working on real-world projects set by employers with the opportunity to specialise in areas such as artificial intelligence, cyber security and software engineering. By graduation, you'll have developed the skills employers want, plus the connections and experience needed to stand out in the digital jobs market.
