WIC was founded in 2010 and is based in Barking, East London — within reach of Essex, East London and Greater London, and playing an active role in the borough's economic development.
The College later opened a second campus on Broad Street in Birmingham — the UK's second-largest city, chosen for its young population and thriving business community. WIC's local council is represented on its Board of Governors, reflecting its close ties to the communities it serves.
