Overview

About this course

This programme offers the essential knowledge, understanding, skills and experience needed to operate effectively and successfully in an international business environment, also suiting experienced managers who lack a theoretical and applied understanding of the modern international business environment.

You'll explore three key themes embedded throughout the modules: the increasing significance of the global/local marketplace (international supply chains, export/import operations, international expansion and e-commerce); understanding international customers, underpinned by customer relationship management and cross-cultural management of diverse international teams; and international business strategy development, including international finance, mergers and acquisitions, international partnerships, global supply/distribution chains and joint ventures, alongside sustainability, corporate social responsibility and business ethics.

The core modules cover all key functional areas — principles of international business, corporate and international strategies, international operations and global supply chain management, retailing and services marketing, and leadership and professional development — taught with an international perspective for today's global economy.
